country in Australia with spectacular scenery and delicious
wine. You can enjoy a leisurely trip through the five
distinct regions in South Australia which have beautiful
wine country.

Adelaide Hills. Located just a step away from the bustling
major city Adelaide, this area provides all the comforts as
well as the relaxed pace of the country life. The
attractions of Adelaide Hills include plenty of vineyards
that you can tour and enough wine to taste. Adelaide Hills
is also close to the state of Victoria, allowing you to
enjoy some of the beautiful Victorian countryside.

Barossa. One of Australia's best wine producing regions,
this valley is an absolute treat. Known throughout the world
as a premier wine producer, Barossa's beauty and wine
producing capabilities have attracted many European
influences. Many of Barossa's villages resemble those found
in Germany or England in terms of their architecture, tone
and tradition. You can relax and enjoy an afternoon sipping
local wine along with European specialties.

Clare Valley. Clare Valley boasts Australia's Reisling
Trail. The trail is 27 kilometers long, and is considered a
very fine bike ride. Most of the areas 40 cellars are on
the route, and so you can stop and sample the local fare.
There are also plenty of restaurants and hostels along the
way, allowing you to complete the trail as quickly or as
slowly as you would like.

Fleurieu Peninsula includes the McLaren Vale, a
wine-producing district with beautiful scenery. This
peninsula stretches from just south of Adelaide down to Cape
Jarvis. It has distinct French influences, including the
propensity for fine wines. There are almost 60 cellars in
the McLaren Vale, where the proprietors pamper their guests
and encourage tastings.

Limestone Coast. This part of the Australian coast is named
for the limestone that forms it. Even the region's wine is
enriched by the rich limestone foundation. Soil gets decayed
due to the Limestone and breaks down into nutrients. The
natural aeration created by this decaying process is perfect
for vineyards. And the world's most acclaimed wines are not
all that the Limestone Coast has to offer its visitors. It
also boasts of a system of underground caves that are so
unique that they have been listed as a World Heritage Site.

car, or even hot air balloon. Hot air balloons allow you to
get a bird's eye view of the countryside. Many cellars allow
