Many Americans work hard. We work in offices or manual
labor, our society's all about money. We need money for
everything, and we want to work hard to get what we need or
want.
But you know the feeling that means, its time for a break.
It's funny that we fight the idea of taking a vacation even
though we know the many good reasons to take one
including. . .
1. ~It may be mandatory. Companies make more money when
they have happier, well-balanced employees.
2.~You deserve it. Life isn't about work always You
need to give yourself a reward for your hard work.
3.~Your family deserves it. On your vacation, you can
really have that quality time with them that you
sometimes miss out on when you work so much.
4.~It just plain fun. The planning, the packing and then
the going is just good healthy fun. And speaking of
healthy, that brings us to the best reason of all for
taking a good long vacation, which is. . .
5.~IT'S GOOD FOR YOU. Yes it's true. Numerous studies
have proven that time away from the stresses of work are
crucial to your health.
Everyone needs and deserves about a week off each year to
explore a new destination or an old favorite. Vacationing
allows us to 'recharge' our mental capacities and overall
physical well-being.
If you allow yourself to have a great vacation for a week
or two, you'll find that the physical transformation is
uncanny. You will sleep better, your blood pressure will
be lower, it will make you healthier all-around.
An amazing thing about vacation is sometimes it's the most
productive thing you can do for yourself. How many times
have you solved that business problem, came up with a
great idea or a new approach to things that will make your
business better but you came up with it while on vacation?
It happens all the time. A rested mind is a stronger mind
and when you gave yourself permission not to work, your
creativity made a rebound and naturally where does that
creativity go? Right into your business, that's where.
Planning a vacation can take some time, but is fun and
exciting. Choosing a destination, lodging, food, and more
is a great time. Do your homework and try to find a good
deal on a great trip! For instance, you could...
*~Take a cruise to Jamaica or some exotic location
*~Go camping in the mountains.
*~Hit the theme parks in California or Florida.
*~The beach for swimming, fishing or just laying out
being a bum.
*~Go to one of our great cities like New York, Boston,
Seattle or San Francisco and really explore it.
A fun, laid back environment is best. Some people like to
rush from attraction to attraction, others like to lay out
in the sun for hours. Choose what's best for you, or even
do both!
Use the level of entertainment as you guide. Do what you
feel like doing for a week, whatever it may be. Study up,
and find the perfect destination for you and your family.
